Yesterday's pic had been taken from the roof patio of Princess Margaret Hospital but I though I would show you one taken from the same level as the sculptures in order to show the scale better. Unfortunately it had to be taken through the window which wasn't the cleanest so the pic isn't the sharpest and the shadows were quite dark. As you can see the sculptures are indeed life-size and show women, men, and children in the various poses.

I have removed word verification too.
It's amazing, the poses seems so perfect!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend RedPat! ;-)
Glad you went to the same level, these deserve a closer look.
ReplyDeleteGreat find & photo RedPat. Not sure I was ever that supple! They do remind me of Gunther von Hagens plastination exhibits.
ReplyDeleteIf only you could get out onto that roof. An excellent perspective on these sculptures.
ReplyDeleteShaun
I think they might grow on you ...
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! The sculptures make me want to jump and sing for some reason!
ReplyDeleteThese are just so very marvelous. They really cross into the concept of animation, science fiction, dance and movement and sculpture. What a fun project for this group of people, and how nice to stumble upon, most likely when things aren't all that rosy in your life if you are looking out windows of the hospital.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of theBody World exhibit - only less creepy.
ReplyDeleteThese are life size, they did look miniature in yesterdays photo. Such great movement in the pieces.
ReplyDeleteThese are as wonderful as yesterdays.
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing from this angle Red, I kind of like the bluish tint, makes it look a little surreal! and THANKS for taking off the verification word Red, I wish everyone would, that double word thing is doing my head in!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteThey all look VERY energetic!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting set of sculptures. They remind me of the dancers around the Herberger Theatre here in Phoenix.
ReplyDeleteThis group of sculptures is terrific. I wonder if the one in the front is doing anything tonight . . .
ReplyDeleteLovely shot, Pat!
ReplyDeleteThese statues really are wonderful! Someone needs to clean the windows. :))
