Wave

When wandering down one of my usual laneways recently, I was amazed to come across this huge wave down the side of a building which had previously been the target of a lot of tagging. This piece even wraps around the back of this building so it catches your attention from either direction. Signed by artists Bomba, Hope, Ren, & Zion it was a fabulous sight on a winter day!
Taking part in Monday Murals. For more murals click here.

  7. Yes, this is nice! Like the colors and it reminds me a bit of an art project on Times Square where they painted the street and made it look like a river: http://www.mollydilworth.com/timessquare.html

  8. Wow, surf is WAY up! Beats the heck out of miscellaneous tags. I really like that you found the signatures and published their names. It usually indicates they had permission to paint the walls. I could see where this would brighten a gloomy winter's day. Thanks for participating in Monday Mural.

  9. Hard to be sure from the photo, but it looks like a huge mural... big improvement over tagging!

  10. That's a neat mural - and «Louis» likes the fact that it doesn't look like it was done by taggers!

«Louis» thanks you for your visit to San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.

  14. A quite effective "upper" for one's mood. Represents fun times. Do you think it will be left along by graffiti bums?

  15. Looks fantastic! I hope it discourages tagging. Nothing worse than taggers doing their "dog pissing impression" on murals like this.

  16. A wave! Great idea to decorate a long building.

Re the giant snail: all ceramic works are in that garden year round. I took the pic last week and it's winter. :-)
