I spotted this mural of a Queen St streetcar just off Queen St West and was lucky enough to catch these 3 people checking it out too. They seem to fit right in to the scene. The artist for this mural are Allan Bender & John Nobrega for Blinc Studios who seem to have done a lot of murals in Canada and the US.

Wow! Great mural - no wonder it's getting some "lookers"! And the dog under the window is the kicker. Nice find Red.
ReplyDeleteThis is outstanding! love the mural and your capture of the people observing it.
ReplyDeletethe scene is very lifelike.
ReplyDeletemy entry is here: MONDAY MURAL
Very nice, a modern looking tranm too.
ReplyDeleteAm I being too pedantic to point out that the streetcar has been transformed into a right-hand drive?
ReplyDeleteNever mind, it is very cool.
Cool street shot RedPat!
ReplyDeleteI like the way the 3 young people observe the mural. ;-)
This one is well dine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mural, love the monochrome couple in the background and the way it seems to stretch back in time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect shot. They look like they are waiting for the streetcar.
ReplyDeleteHooray!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a streetcar line between two buildings. Capture perfectly, looks like those three are thinking of jumping onto the car. I too like that dog.
ReplyDeleteI always see you commets LĂșcia, blog, I yust say hello and greetings from spain. You have a fun blog.
ReplyDeleteGreetings.
Maybe their waiting for someone to get off.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a good painting, RedPat. The group of people looking at it made the photo more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like this one. The onlookers do fit in nicely. :)
ReplyDeleteThe onlookers look like they are waiting to board the tram. Realistic mural merges with reality! Thank you, Pat, for continuing to participate in Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteWoah... that looks frighteningly real, I would be jumping out of the way!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's the way you've taken the shot but that definitely looks almost 3D Pat, like a trompe-l'oeil. Fantastic to have the three observers in the shot too.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific. At first, for a sec, I thought it was real and these folks were waiting for a ride! Very well done!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's a great work, the perspective is amazing! I agree with you, the people add so much to the pic.
ReplyDeleteWow - the perspective really is amazing. It took me a few moments to realize that the wall was flat and I wasn't looking down an alley. How fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful mural! As you say the people in the photo are a great addition, Pat.
ReplyDeleteI enlarged this image to have a closer look. That is a fabulous mural Pat. Great shot and the 3 people really do add to the scene.
ReplyDeleteA great scene. Thanks for sharing it. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young , we called them the red rockets, I wonder if they still do. Happy Easter Pat,,,M
