Gates At Ronald McDonald House

These wonderfully fanciful gates are found at the new Ronald McDonald House in downtown Toronto. The house replaced a much smaller building and is in fact the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world with accommodation for 81 families and has many amenities including an on-site school for the kids staying there. This is the view from inside the gates looking out since it gives a better view of the smithed details. I have been unable to find out their creator but I really like them!

  1. What a wonderful place.
A member of my family is in hospital in Vancouver right now and I've been thinking about such places as Ronald McDonald houses lately.
    These gates are gorgeous indeed.

  2. You are right. Those gates are special. There should be a law that people who buy amazing works, even if as utilitarian as gates, should post discreet signs honoring the artists.

  7. For all the bad raps McDonalds gets, they do some outstanding things for communities, like MH's.

  9. Gorgeous, thank goodness they did something artistic. Makes such a nice change from standard catalogue ordered gates.
