Inside An Empty Barn 2 At Wychwood
This is a shot of barn 2 at Artscape Wychwood Barns when it is not being used for an event and it shows the wonderful industrial structure that has been restored and converted into a community centre. There are old photos along the walls showing this barn when it was used for the streetcars and at that time there would have been 2 rows of streetcars running along the 60 metre length of the building with workers bustling around them. It was a really sunny day when I took this pic and the skylight brightness kept hitting the camera so I apologize for the darkness.
Tomorrow I will show you the barn in use!
I for one would like to see the old photos on the wall, of streetcars with workers bustling around them!
ReplyDeleteA very nice, artsy photograph which shows off your excellent photographic skills! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The darkness make a nice contrast with the light and the dark is light enough to see the various sections. In Photoshop, you can do a Shadow/Lightness thing which brightens the dark places in a shot.
That is a massive space -- it is so cool that your City has repurposed these great barns......you live in an amazing place, but I think you already knew that ;>)...every one of your posts really make me want to visit.
ReplyDeletevery cool shot. There is no shortage of photo opts in your city. You inspire me. Thank you and have a fantastic day!:)
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing industrial architecture, love that the daylight now reaches into this old place.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely stunning interior. I just love all the various surfaces, and the light - WOW
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Toronto is re-purposing this big space. Large open spaces work well for art and community projects.
ReplyDeleteExcellent conversion, but like Paul I'd love to see it with the streetcars in situ.
ReplyDeleteLots of room for the various events to enjoy, great shot!
ReplyDeleteA great idea and a lot of room!
ReplyDeleteThe inside is quite impressive! Nice photo of it too. :)
