I found this wonderfully executed mural in a laneway off Ossington Ave and thought that the abandoned couch added a bit of 3-D detail to the piece. I have no idea who the artist is but I really like it. And when was the last time you saw saddle shoes?

C O O L !
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the couch really does fit in very well!
ReplyDeletePerfect spot for a homelss person
ReplyDeleteThis is certainly interesting although it wouldn't be in my Top 10 Toronto Mural collection. As for saddle shoes, I think my golf shoes would qualify. Maybe it's only golfers who wear them anymore?
ReplyDeleteAt least there is a place to sit and take it all in.
ReplyDeleteI like it though I got distracted with the sofa.
ReplyDeleteMonday Mural - Life Under the Sea
Saddle shoes? This morning. In my closet. Do you mean they are no longer fashionable. Why didn't anyone tell me?
ReplyDeleteRoy Lichtenstein meets George Romero? Quite the composition and definitely an eye catcher. Any chance this was a shared project? Didn't notice the shoes until you mentioned them. Sort of a transition icon. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteColourful,if nothing else.
ReplyDeleteThey need to move the sofa around so that you can sit in it and look at the mural.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder how this couch got there and why the owner of the shoes is walking barefoot. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Love those bright colors too. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother brightly colored mural and the saddle shoes....wow that brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteNeat--very colorful!--mural! I like the added touch of the couch, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the way it is broken up on the diagonals, clever. Cute couple, ummmm interesting? couch, and you are right when is the last time you saw saddle shoes?
