Round Table in A Round Room
Even though yesterday's Munk building is historically designated, the architects were able to get permission to punch a long window into the back facade of the tower allowing them to bring a lot of light into each floor of the tower. On this floor the round room is used for meeting space while the other floors have been fitted out as lounge areas with a difference!
I've sat through a lot of meetings in a lot of different buildings, but this would be quite different. It's cheery and full of light. I'll bet people get a lot more work accomplished and are in a better mood than if they were in a dark, dank room with no windows!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lowell I think this would be a very pleasant place to have a 'board meeting' Pat, lots of lovely sunlight coming in though these windows.
ReplyDeleteThis window is a great idea and it actually doesn't change the real look of the building as we can see on the previous post.
ReplyDeleteOh, I was hoping you'd show one of the round rooms! Cool!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great space. Love all the light. :)
ReplyDeleteoh, THAT'S cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice bright place to hold a meeting. Good natural light.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful use of the space!
ReplyDeleteThe window was a good idea, the room seem cozy and it has a nice view! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat room love the suspended round ceiling. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThat long vertical window is just what the tower needed. They were fortunate that the historical preservation people were reasonable.
ReplyDeleteNice looking room.
ReplyDeleteah smart idea. I can see how this room would be a little claustrophobic without the window.
ReplyDeleteThe long window makes the tower a useful space and, truly, I don;t think it takes away from the original design.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of an unusual space.
ReplyDeleteA very bright and airy looking room, great use of space!
ReplyDeleteI'll start at the beginning ... I have had and one very busy weekend :))
ReplyDeleteA pleasure to sit there and eat.
A kiss.
