A Home For Shortbread
I was wandering by this building on Queen St East at just the right time to catch the sun highlighting some of the wonderful details on the facade. I could find no details on the building itself although I did find that there was a move afoot to have this neighbourhood of old commercial buildings declared a heritage conservation area in an attempt to save the ones that are left. I'm not sure if it passed. Meanwhile, it is a nice home for Mary Macleod's Shortbread and I have had some of the cookies and they are delicious!
I hope the move afoot gained some traction especially if the other buildings are as nice as this one.
