It's nice to find an Irish style pub in a building with some atmosphere and this one is especially nice since it is a typical Annex-style house - large, with turret, and balconies. The inside of the Pour House is just as nice with lots of dark wood panelling and many good beers on tap!

I like it! It's very inviting.
ReplyDeleteIf I have to be in a "poor" house, I'd rather be in a "pour" house! That looks like a great place to spend an evening!
ReplyDeleteWHat a great house! Looks like someone lives over the pub.
ReplyDeleteAh the good old Irish pub, every town and city has one :) I bet The Pour House is popular Pat.

ReplyDeleteOne very beautiful pub. Almost like a romantic chateau in design. And the sign itself has a wonderful street presence.
ReplyDeleteClever name for the pub! And the building is handsome.
ReplyDeleteVery attractive facade.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Lots of charm and character and I'll bet the interior smells of old dark wood and stale beer!

ReplyDeleteWhat a truly gorgeous old house! And the pub's name would appeal to my punster brother as well as my punster husband.
ReplyDeleteBut oh, those upper storeys. I love the balcony with the flowers on it. I could happily live there. Or in the turret!

ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and comment on my strange sign. This was a checkpoint at the dam. We dutifully rolled down the window only to be waved through with not even a "how do you do?".
