Steamwhistle brewery is a microbrewery located right downtown just south of the CN Tower in the old John St Roundhouse which was the steam locomotive repair facility for for Canadian Pacific Rail. This is the original 60,000 gallon water tower from the roundhouse and works well for pointing out where to go for a tour of the brewery after going to a Blue Jays ball game at the Rogers Centre across the road. The trees give away the fact that this isn't a recent pic - no leaves here yet!

The height and bright colour make it perfect for a check point Pat.. so those trees are still naked are they :)

ReplyDeleteI agree... good beer. The last time I flew Porter Airlines you are allowed one free Steam Whistle beer to drink in flight.
ReplyDeletePerfect place to go to celebrate a home win!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure people are attracted this way to visit the brewery!
ReplyDeleteI imagine that tank filled with beer instead of water
ReplyDeleteYup. I sure could find this tower. My beer can go to the others.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like beer but I'll take the tower!
ReplyDeleteA Blue Jays game and a Steam Whistle beer after sounds like a great outing, especially if traveling by bus. Fine sign.
ReplyDeleteI have taken the tour and agree its a tasty beer. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat sign and of course now I want to try the beer!
ReplyDeleteI love the sign! Very creative and colorful. Re your question: Nope. I used a Canon S95 point-and-shoot. Excellent camera, though.

ReplyDeleteQuite vibrant green. I really should check out the Roundhouse.
