I happened upon this very well organized corner store on College St in Little Italy and was so impressed with how fresh all the vegetables and fruit were. It is wonderful that this type of store can survive in so many pockets of the city! And this building is a bit triangular - like a mini flatiron building.

ReplyDeleteDitto what Luis said and add MEGA gorgeous! Oh we need so many more corner shops like these, I'm so over supermarkets :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful sight, RedPat. I'm amazed that these corner stores still survive but I'm very glad they still do.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an English corner shop, wondered where they all went
ReplyDeleteoh, neat! i hope it does well!
ReplyDeleteI'd love shopping in a place like this. I do have to wonder where all that stuff goes at closing time.
ReplyDeleteCute shop! I miss these kind of shops from Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice to see in these days.
ReplyDeleteIf there was a shop like this near me, I'd shop there and happily pay the extra to avoid the supermarket experience.
ReplyDeletePerfect spot!
ReplyDeleteHmm, and I'm just about to go grocery shopping. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh you'd find me there often!
ReplyDeleteI am glad places like this manage to stay afloat. Looks so cute and welcoming!
ReplyDeletePerhaps this owner goes to the food terminal every day and buys the best he can find. It certainly looks better than some other corner markets.
ReplyDeleteOh, the produce would invite me to buy at this store!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a neat place. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteThe place has real character.
ReplyDeleteFor me this image is about the guy in the yellow shirt. That makes it stand out.
ReplyDeleteI love stores like these. Nice and colorful too.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned that I probably didn't get much snow where I live. Garret County in western Maryland gets LOTS of snow!!!!: )
Such a lovely corner too.
ReplyDeletethat is a bright little corner shop
ReplyDeleteFabulous, so bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteThis corner looks delicious too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, RedPat. I was in Boston the past few days and went into Harvard Square for a while. There is an old gourmet provisioner, Cardullo's, that has gorgeous fruit and vegetables like this. Presentation matters a lot, even though we should be thinking about how food tastes, not how it looks.
ReplyDeleteSo colourful!
