Yam Chops is a newly opened vegetarian butcher shop on College St and I found the name so intriguing that I made a point of checking it out a week ago. Everything is made with plant-based protein so even though it looks like a burger it could be made with soy or chick peas or some other mixture of ingredients. I had just come from brunch and wasn't hungry but I will go back and try some things for sure!

My kinda place!
ReplyDeletepretty clever!
ReplyDeleteThat name is very clever. You'll have to let me know what you think. I'm not drawn to the vegetarian foods that are made to look like meat products. If I was going to be vegetarian, I'd just stick with good old vegetables.
ReplyDeleteVegetarian butcher sounds odd. But I'd definitely try it!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely eat there!
ReplyDeleteGreat name!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy...I can't wait to sink my canine teeth into a yam chop. Clever I must say. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteLove that name! The word, "butcher" though, seems strange next to "vegetarian." :) My wife is a vegetarian so if we ever get to Toronto we'll have to make a stop here!
ReplyDeleteP.S. We eat vegetarian burgers all the time!
That sure is different. I'll be stay with my combo of meat and vegges.
ReplyDeleteI'm not vegetarian, but I like veggie burger.
ReplyDeletefrankly my dear
Never thought of someone who cuts up vegetables as a "butcher". Often vegetarian restaurants must serve great food to survive.
ReplyDeleteLooks like my kind of place. Nice title.
ReplyDeleteVegetarian butcher doesn't sound right at all, mind you...
ReplyDeleteIntriguing name. Stunning window reflections too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous and clever, Cruelty-free is the only way to go.
ReplyDeletesounds a bit strange but it looks to have some happy customers
ReplyDeleteYup I'd eat here for sure Pat, not big on meat myself :)
