Trees
It was a hot day as I passed by the park where these trees live and their shade was very welcoming indeed. I don't know what species they are but I love their heavily textured bark. The City of Toronto is in constant tree-planting mode as an effort is being made to greatly increase the tree canopy which is already quite extensive.
Looks nice. Green is always good in big cities.
ReplyDeleteA win-win strategy for both the city and the environment.
ReplyDeletegraceful things!
ReplyDeleteHot sun. Find cool shade right here. Got a book?
ReplyDeleteGreat textures!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful and thumbs up to Toronto!
ReplyDeleteI like the textures and the shapes of the trunks. No idea what kind they are though.
ReplyDeleteAsh? Lovely textures!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture of the bark and that the grass is green. Pretty shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat bark. Toronto is smart to be planting more trees.
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery sinewy looking!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that Toronto plants so many trees. Trees produce oxygen through photosynthesis, the antithesis of releasing carbon into the atmosphere. :))
ReplyDeleteLovely tree which provide shade.
ReplyDeleteLooks a little like our paper bark trees Pat, wouldn't be surprised if you have them there, there are so many similarities between our cities oui :) Lovely cool image.
