Grand Entrance
This is the grand entrance to a condominium complex on Avenue Rd in the Yorkville neighbourhood. Aren't those lights spectacular! I posted a detail shot of the sofa you can see in the background, way back in 2010. Click HERE to see that shot.
Looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe entrance itself is spectacular Pat, the lights an added bonus. How fun is the stuffed sofa sculpture, I had to go back and check it out properly, fab!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that's the entrance to a condo...looks more like a grand entrance to some major government installation! I like the lights but it's all quite spectacular. I won't ask the price of the condos.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a great address though. You could tell people, haughtily of course, that you live at "38 Avenue Road in Yorkville."
Yes, sounds like a great address to build a mystery around.
ReplyDeletequite ostentatious. :)
ReplyDeletethese kind of entrances were popular in Europe in the past
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a hotel or a bank! Wow, it must be lovely to come home when they are lit!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very grand entrance.
ReplyDeleteA very warm welcome home must await residents who live here, reminds me a little of one or two places in Manchester city centre!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic entrance and those lights are pretty spectacular. I think I'd feel kind of special if I lived there.
ReplyDeleteFabulous lights. Saw the sofa shot, cool shot!
ReplyDeleteThat sings of 19th & 20th Centuries. Love the sofa too 🌺
ReplyDeleteI've passed by there at night, once. It's quite different by day.
ReplyDeleteI do like those lights!
ReplyDeleteI like the entrance. I am sure living here is not cheap.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful entrance.
ReplyDeleteEverything is spectacular! I love archways and the paneling is neat too.
ReplyDeleteThose lights are simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe place is way beyond my price range but I'm glad it doesn't cost anything to look and admire the entrance and lighting.
ReplyDeleteThat is very grand indeed! Love those fancy lights.
ReplyDeleteNice and big, Pat :))
