Renewal
This semi-detached home in the Annex neighbourhood is undergoing a total renovation as you can see from this pic I took in September. It was built in 1892 and I'm sure this isn't the first time it has been fixed up but I bet this is the most extensive since they have even lowered the basement floor to give more head space down there. If we ever get some sunny days I will head by for a progress shot.
Such a fine, distinguished-looking building. Hey, maybe HGTV is doing the reno? "Love It or List It?"
ReplyDeleteLooks like a stunner even with all the plywood. What potential!
ReplyDeletewow! big money! big effort!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, please do take more shots of this building as I would really like to see what it looks like when they've finished.
ReplyDeleteBig job!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that so eone is giving this old beauty a facelift Pat, as they say 'it has good bones'.. Would love to see it a bit further down the renovation line!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that renovation is going to cost a pretty penny. Wouldn't you love to see the inside after it's all done?

ReplyDeleteit is a nice house worth renovating
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be a beauty after the renovations are finished. It has an elegant charm.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I hope they keep all the original features, it's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've often admired what I call "turrets" in houses of this period. I'm very glad I don't have to heat it, though.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's going to be beautiful when it's done.
ReplyDeleteGood restoration !!
