Renewal

This semi-detached home in the Annex neighbourhood is undergoing a total renovation as you can see from this pic I took in September. It was built in 1892 and I'm sure this isn't the first time it has been fixed up but I bet this is the most extensive since they have even lowered the basement floor to give more head space down there. If we ever get some sunny days I will head by for a progress shot.

  11. I've often admired what I call "turrets" in houses of this period. I'm very glad I don't have to heat it, though.
