This is the last of the underpass supports on King St E decorated by artists ShalakAttak, BrunoSmoky & FiyaBruxa. It is the only one depicting a man and is titled "The Worker" as I discovered after a long newspaper article about these pieces was published here a week ago. Tomorrow I will show you the other side of this one.

That's a very characterful face!
ReplyDeleteInteresting face on this one.
ReplyDeleteInteresting but for sure artistic.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot...the man's face shows extreme concentration and I can see the wheels and gears turning over on the left. I also love the brick work perspective ... looks like some of those bricks are crumbling off the wall!
ReplyDeleteOh I am curious about the other side. Perhaps a bit warmer? This side is so, powerfully commanding! It is exquisite in design and art!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful and creative "T" .
ReplyDeleteThese are really stunning. I had seen another Toronto blogger post these back in November. Off to find the article about them.

ReplyDeleteThis is really striking. Makes me hum another brick in the wall...
ReplyDeleteThese truly are a fun series, RedPat! Which newspaper did an article on them? I totally missed it!
ReplyDeleteOK, you totally got me on this one. It took me a bit to put it all together; I thought initially it was a trick with mirrors.
ReplyDeleteSo much expression in that face! Another beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteThose really are incredible! It's been a long time since we've driven into TO.
ReplyDeleteThe eyes have it! Like vivid tattoo-like art.

Wow! That one's a bit intimidating.
ReplyDeleteLots of work has been put in to this.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot.
These are all very well painted, RedPat.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we have a highly sentient proto-man, bicycle gears, and a falling brick wall. Don't see the connection but that face is wonderfully engaging. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous use of an unusually shaped space.
