"Think About Life"

The Art Gallery Of Ontario (AGO) has a major show on now of the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat (click HERE for info). Unfortunately there was no photography allowed but I quite liked this banner at the entrance. I need to go back for another viewing to make up my mind about his work.

  2. A very interesting body of work. I clicked on several of the pieces on the web site to learn more and see more detail. It's not the kind of work I'd hang on the walls but, it certainly is the kind of work you study and think about and I supposed that is exactly what art should do.

  4. Great quote. It's always sad when I get somewhere and they say no cameras, I do understand it sometimes. But for the sake of just sharing in say a blog, or to a friend which often times has prompted others if in the area to check it out too! Win! Win!

  9. That's nice. Shouldn't be art really taken that way? I like it.

  18. Not my style of art. Thanks for sharing the link. Too bad you were't allowed to take photos, though.

  20. his work is not at all my style, but I agree with his sentiment on that banner. Art should not be thought about too much during it's creation.
