More Great Hinges

I seem to be stumbling across more and more of these great old hinges as I wander about the city. This is the main entrance to Trinity College which is one of the colleges at U of Toronto. On weekends and after hours one must enter through that smaller door visible on the left. I do love those hinges!

  2. I agree Pat.. they don't make hinges like that anymore :) Mind you, you'd need a huge door to match.

  3. Your photos do not 'hinge' upon your these only though.

  4. I like those ancient door-within-a-door I see often on old Anglican or Anglican-style churches.

  8. They remind me of some of the doors on the Parliament buildings, but the architecture falls under much of the same influences, so that's to be expected.
