More Great Hinges
I seem to be stumbling across more and more of these great old hinges as I wander about the city. This is the main entrance to Trinity College which is one of the colleges at U of Toronto. On weekends and after hours one must enter through that smaller door visible on the left. I do love those hinges!
One of my favourite areas of the city!
ReplyDeleteI agree Pat.. they don't make hinges like that anymore :) Mind you, you'd need a huge door to match.
ReplyDeletereally neat!
ReplyDeleteYour photos do not 'hinge' upon your these only though.
ReplyDeleteI like those ancient door-within-a-door I see often on old Anglican or Anglican-style churches.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see this, Pat, as I was afraid you might be coming unhinged! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous door! Love all that stone!
That's a spectacular looking entrance!
ReplyDeleteSuper size hinges and fantastic architecture.
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of some of the doors on the Parliament buildings, but the architecture falls under much of the same influences, so that's to be expected.
ReplyDeleteI also like the hinges, but here, the entire entry way is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI can see the attraction, you just need a very impressive door to do them justice....
ReplyDeleteThey are quite attractive.
ReplyDeleteQuite majestic!
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteTruly great!
