Another Garage Mural

As you can see from the snow on the ground in this pic, this is not a recent catch but rather was taken in March along Croft St laneway just south of Harbord St. I'm not sure of the artist but someone appreciates the neighbourhood showing its mixture of commercial buildings with residential houses.

  9. It's very nice. I like the various buildings, the trees, the clouds, etc. But there's a lot more gong on in that sky of which I have no idea. Probably secret messages. Right?

  22. Oy vey! I grew up in a house on Borden St. which backed onto Croft St. What a difference a few decades makes. There were people living on Croft St. in the equivalent of a cabin with a coal-burning stove with the smokestack. The old lady with all the cats was one. Prob'ly every downtown cat descended from her matriarch feline. People kept small animals and chickens in those garages/barns before they were used for cars. This garage could've been my grandparents. I'd love to do a mural on their garage. What stories I could tell of this street & more laneways, quirky inhabitants long forgotten. Show us more please!
