I spotted these two guys working on this mural two weeks ago along Harbord St and then the week after there was an article in the newspaper about it. They had been commissioned to do the mural and had to do it in one day to have it ready for the release of Justin Beiber's new album. Apparently he had 18 murals of the titles of the songs on the album painted in cities all over the world. The artists for this one are Kyle Howard and Max Sawka who had also done the mural on this wall that they painted over.

Sense a bit of tagging involved as well
ReplyDeleteBad boy Beib has his own murals. Interesting. ;))
ReplyDeletenot a fan of justin bieber, but i hope the mural makes folks smile.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I like the colours but the style reminds too much of tagging. ;))
ReplyDeleteThe message is great and I'm glad the artists are being paid to do this work. It's best I don't comment on the singer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stroke of luck to be able to get the whole story as you have. I quite like it somehow.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good message and as Lauren said so interesting to get the whole story, nice work Pat. The young man got into quite a spot of bother in Australia, I get the impression he thinks he's above the law :)
ReplyDeleteIt took a minute for me to figure out the message, but I like it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Marketing!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Bieber either, but nice message nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteJustin Bieber.. Is that a brand of ale?
ReplyDeleteI can think of a great many people worth having a mural made for rather than who this one is. A waste of good wall space.
ReplyDeleteA very nice big tag.
ReplyDeleteVery colourful, though I wish Biebs would take a ninety year vow of silence and seclusion.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Pat. But what a world! Justin Bieber, really? I'm with William, although I'd extend the time from 90 years to eternity!
ReplyDeleteEverybody has pretty well said what I thought.
ReplyDeleteNice color! Though I don't care for the Bieber.
ReplyDeleteMore graffiti than a mural, wasted time anyway...
ReplyDeleteNot a great fan of tags but I like that you caught them at it!
ReplyDeleteOne day. Wow! Pressure. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt must be a great thing for fans of Bieber.
ReplyDeleteTend to agree with the comments thread - but not everyone will associate the sentiment with a song and it's a nice thing quote.
ReplyDeleteContinuing with you angel theme from previous!
ReplyDeleteALOHA, Friend; Thrilled to be back!

I like the mural, Justin Beiber not so much!
ReplyDeleteAgree with the saying in the mural and love the bicycle next to the mural too!
ReplyDeleteFine addition...
Have a Great Week!
Peace :)
Not a good reason for a mural, but this one is dynamic with its bright colors. Not sure about the graffiti lettering?
ReplyDeleteOne day is a short space of time to paint and finish a mural of this size.
ReplyDeletePerfect words no matter! I like it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the artists making some money from their talent.
ReplyDeleteGreat words to live by.
ReplyDeleteVery handsome. I love ;)
ReplyDeleteThese guys are the real deal; Bieber seems more of a poseur. All in all, I'm glad the artists got the work. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteLove watching street artists at work.
