This cool station wagon was parked behind my local pub but it was gone by the time I went there later. It is a 1956 BelAir. Love the skirts and all that chrome!
That's a terrific find! We had a 1955 Bel Air which was a very nice car. It wasn't a station wagon, though. We did have a 1955 Plymouth station wagon and later an Olds station wagon.
In 1956 station wagons were so uncool. They were the most common car for young families in suburbia. Wonder if current soccer Mom's SUVs will be as cool as this car is now in another 60 years.
very cool!
ReplyDeleteA bit old-fashioned in shape and colors, but very cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteBack in '56 who would have thought that a station wagon would be SO COOL. This Nomad model is gorgeous.
