Service Dept

When you have a 1960s bank building and you gut it, add rusty metal sheets to the wall, steel tables, and comfy banquettes you can end up with a great place for a few beers and something to eat. And since this is Canada, always have a hockey game going on the TV in the background!

  6. sometimes these re-purposing jobs turn out really great. I had lunch with a friend in Mesa a few months ago at a re-purposed bank building. In fact, the friend worked in that building when it was a bank many years ago. I thought they did a great job on it.

  10. I like the industrial look. Shame that there is no Canadian team in the finals this year (but well done on the IIHF over the Finns!!)

  14. This is wonderful. I would definitely make frequent visits just for the atmosphere. What a great idea for repurposing a structure.

Also here in Italy we have in many places a TV in the background, not with hockey, but with soccer...

  18. That is a great looking place, RedPat. I'll bet it is a popular place. How come the legendary Toronto Maple Leafs have become awful?
