Japanese Tree Peony
I found these gorgeous flowers on the grounds of the Veterans Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. They are Japanese Tree Peonies and I think the heat we had a week ago brought them to bloom quite quickly. The regular peonies are still not near flowering.
Wow, what a happy surprise that was! They sure are pretty.

ReplyDeleteThese are stunning. When I was a little kid growing up in Illinois, my mother had peonies growing in the yard. I think the kind she had were a smaller variety but, they did look similar to this.
