This is Our lady Of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church which is located on Bloor St W in the Kingsway neighbourhood. It was constructed in 1940 and as you can tell by the fencing around the front, it is undergoing some renovations.

Nice one Pat. I am always attracted to stone churches.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice I love the stone which is built from .as i can see we have much more earlier spring here
ReplyDeleteI so wish our churches were open.
ReplyDeleteSolid little gem
ReplyDeleteI think it is a beautiful structure but then I like all things stone!
ReplyDeleteI think I have to agree with the group above. That stone makes that place.
ReplyDeleteAppears in better shape than some churches I've seen that are not undergoing renovation.
ReplyDeleteLovely church - like the round window.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the rose window!
ReplyDeleteIt's quite a beautiful design.
ReplyDeleteWHen I saw the fencing I was afraid this church was coming down. My friends and I were talking today about the future of large urban church buildings as their congregations dwindle and disappear. Good to know the fence is only to protect renovation.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the interior....the one I posted today, has almost completed all their renovations.
ReplyDeleteI like traditional church design like this. Stonework adds to the seriousness.
ReplyDeletei really enjoy the front window. such a beauty. ( :
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Church!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo and the building.
Have a Happy Week ahead, Pat.
Peace :)
There are similar churches in design in Australia but they would be built in brick. Love the stone though.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. Love the round petal design window.
