End Of The Path?
I actually went back to explore the walkway I showed you yesterday and after climbing almost to the top of the side of the ravine I came upon this. I was thinking how odd it was to end the path at a big tree but when I looked closer there were some small stone steps going around the roots of the tree and leading to some more steps which took me up to the top. I'll show what was up there on Sunday!
Well how intriguing Pat! Can't wait to see. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is protected by Toronto's bylaws. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have here many similar situations, Pat.
ReplyDeleteIntriguing - and a lovely spot!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what was there. This reminded me of the time David and I were 4-wheeling in the woods in northern Arizona and we were on a very narrow, two-tire-tracks kind of road and all of a sudden it just ended. No warning, there were just no more tracks, just trees. We had to do some careful maneuvering to get his truck turned around so we could go back the way we came.
ReplyDelete...years ago the tree was so much smaller.
ReplyDeleteThat is a most forbidding obstacle on that path. How odd the path was built just here. WIll look forward to seeing the top on Sunday. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh good! There's more to see!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it was a dead end. Now it's on to the top, I look forward to Sunday's mighty climb and discovery.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Nature has a mind of its own, for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to say all good things must end, but now I'm not sure. I shall wait to see what you found around the tree via the stones!
ReplyDeleteThis has become a very intriguing hike.
ReplyDeleteWho'd have thought? Terrific shot!
ReplyDeleteSure, why not? Everyone needs a tree directly in their path. :-)
ReplyDeletelovely fall
ReplyDeleteIn LA ,Southern California, there is one bridge, named "bridge to nowhere". After a strenuous hiking you will reach the bridge. And the bridge ends up to a huge mountain, you cannot cross it. :)

You sure are building the suspense, Pat!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness now this post makes a lot of sense to me! I'm coming from where you ended! Very nice area indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe trailblazers forgot that trees have a habit of growing.
