Winter Feeding

All of the snow and cold weather we have been having has brought the birds back to the bird feeders finally. The Goldfinchs in particular were having a good feed this week.

  8. They are cute! But I've never heard a good explanation as to how they keep from freezing in freezing weather. Do you know?

  21. Loving these sweeties ..memories of Oregon, where goldfinches were frequent winter yardbirds as well... we don’t see them much in the summer now.
