This is the door into another of the buildings still standing on the Honest Ed's property. I'm not sure if this one is going to survive but I hope that old light fixture is saved!
I was trying to read the writing on the window to get a clue as to what kind of business was done here. I couldn't make it all out but I did read "Weiner dog" and "Second Floor." 'Tis a mystery for sure. Perhaps that fixture could shed some light on it, but whatever, it should definitely be preserved. Maybe you could sneak over there some night and "preserve" it yourself???
Love the fixture too, Pat
ReplyDeleteWell worth saving, I'd say! I laughed at the description inside, 'like a wiener dog with a second floor'!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great little entrance way and I agree, they should keep that light fixture for sure.
ReplyDelete...out with the old to made way for the new.
ReplyDeleteIt should be!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad when the city loses it's old icons.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a nice reminder of what was there before.

ReplyDeleteYou need to call someone about the building. If it's coming down tell them you want the light fixture.
ReplyDeleteThere are lovely reflections in all that glass. It would be sad to loose an historic building.
ReplyDeleteGo out and snatch that light fixture. There is no guarantee that the demolishers will appreciate it, but you will!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice fixture.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to get it, Pat?
Have a Happy Weekend!
Peace :)
I don't know Pat, it looks a bit fragile there, I would hope if the building goes someone will see its beauty and save it from the wreckers.
ReplyDeleteI would love if this eye for detail still consist for new architecture.
ReplyDeleteHello, I like this red door and entrance. The color really pops. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh I sure hope it is saved too!!
