This pic was taken at the Veterans Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre where they have many bird feeders as well as this heated bird bath. This thirsty black squirrel was taking advantage of the snow fence to reach in for a nice drink which may actually have been a bit warm. There was a bit of snow coming down so there are a few streaks in the pic.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe birds and critters do need a drink, the heated bird baths are welcomed.

ReplyDeleteHe needs a little refreshment before going back to work. Nice shot, Pat.
ReplyDeleteOh my... I wonder what they do when everything is frozen.
ReplyDeleteHeated bird baths - what a good idea.
ReplyDeleteMust be difficult for squirrels to find water in winter. Fine shot. Yes, it was almost melting here today as the temperature got all the way up to 27°F, the warmest we have seen in months.
ReplyDeleteWe don't seem to have squirrels here though I have had a variety of apparently neighborhood cats take drinks out of our bird bath.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that warm drink is a welcome one
