Along The Creek
This is the view from the bridge which was in Tuesday's post. This is Black Creek which runs through northwest Toronto and empties into the Humber River which in turn empties into Lake Ontario. When I was a kid we spent many hours in this creek hunting for frogs and turtles to keep as pets for a few days before taking them back to the water!
...it's hard to believe that there are creeks in the city!
ReplyDeletePretty scene!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
This scene looks like your city is on the very edge of winter. You reminded of some childhood memories of playing in places like this and looking for tadpoles and other things living in and around the water. Fun times.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful scene. Also looks like it could be here in Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteThat looks pretty in the sunshine. It could be in the country, rather than the city.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty view of the creek. I remember as kid looking for the frogs, tadpoles and crayfish in similar creeks. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!
Good that you can walk through nature this close to the city. The creek looks like it has been walled in with stone banks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Have a nice weekend
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that it would be spooky there at nightfall, unless it is lighted.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully lit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, such a relaxing spot.
ReplyDeleteThere's a curiously deep quality about that photo; something to do with the lighting, I suppose; but lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and indeed nice to have such a little creek in town.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely view, and I think the creeks and waterways of Toronto are much cleaner than they used to be just a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteLovely memories and gorgeous shot Pat 🍁
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty spot, RedPat.
