Redevelopment
This is the former site of the Honest Ed's store at Bathurst and Bloor where a complete city block is being redeveloped except for one hold-out building on Bathurst St which is visible in the centre right of the pic. The project includes 5 rental apartment buildings of various sizes and styles as well as a park, market and community centre. More cranes in our skyline! I'll show you a pic of the hold-out tomorrow.
...it just won't be the same!
ReplyDeleteWow! Lots going on here Pat, looks a familiar sight! Looking forward to seeing who's holding out on the big development, got to admire them a bit 😊
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Happy Thanksgiving, RedPat. Great crane photo. You got me with this one.
ReplyDeleteIt's really amazing to see so much development in so many big cities. You've reminded me that a building I worked in just 8 years ago has been leveled and is awaiting the start of new construction. I should get a picture of it before they start.
ReplyDeleteAhhh the Giant Urban Crane strikes again!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletePretty sky, seeing cranes is a good thing for the economy. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great weekend!
The hold out might regret it.
ReplyDeleteI so love the tale. Toronto needs housing. I bet it ain't cheap, though!
ReplyDeleteMy son lived in a condo he bought after he graduated. He sold it and paid off his student loan. It overlooked the trainyards. Right near Davenport where my parents grew up.
Admire the hold out, one person against the system of change, takes strength and courage to do that, hope things work out for them..
ReplyDeleteThe crane animals are back and working.
ReplyDeleteThe dance of the cranes.
