I was walking along through the snow in the Humber River valley and happened upon this old tree stump which someone had cleared of snow and had sprinkled some seeds about for the birds. At first I saw a little Junco and then this Song Sparrow settled down for a fast meal.

...they are at my feeder this morning.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe Song Sparrow is sweet, I wish they would around me more often. I rarely see them in neighborhood. Great capture! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend!
They need feeding help;-)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! We've taken bird seed on a few of our hikes. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat was a very thoughtful thing to do. The little birds must have a hard time finding things to eat in the winter months.
ReplyDeleteBird feeding certainly can help them survive the winter.
ReplyDeleteLots of Sparrows feeding here at my house, but I have trouble telling one kind from another.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
That's nice that people leave seeds for the wee birds.
ReplyDeleteWarms ones heart. Thank you, P!
ReplyDeleteOh, they need it!
ReplyDeleteA pretty little one.
ReplyDeleteA bonus treat! Nice.
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwww, cute fellow. Maybe less "strong" as my Peanuts (Squirrels) who destroy stuff if there´s no food from my side...
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteGood idea.
ReplyDeleteI love it when people are thoughtful and kind like this Pat đź’›
ReplyDeleteThe Juncos and Sparrows are both tough little birds the spend the whole winter in cold weather.
ReplyDeleteMucha nieve tenĂ©is todavĂa. A ellos no les importa :))
ReplyDeleteCuĂdate.
Un abrazo.
Awe, very sweet!
