In a city so full of apartment buildings and condo towers it is hard to believe that at one point there were none. This building, the Spadina Gardens, was built in 1906 and was one of the first half dozen buildings to be built for the purpose of multiple occupancy. It has heritage protection so should be around for a long time.
Heritage protection... that is good. I wish they had done the same thing to Honest Ed's.

ReplyDeleteThat's a very stylish building and well worth preserving.
ReplyDelete...how beautiful, it sure beats a glass tower.
ReplyDeleteI love this building. I could easily live there. It has so much more charm than to glass and steel high-rises.

ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteCertainly a way of providing housing for many people in a small space. Makes perfect sense in a crowded urban environment.
ReplyDeleteAssuming there's an elevator, I'll take one of those on the top floor. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat great proportions and balance.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fine looking building.
ReplyDeleteLooks good.
