The Day After The Snowstorm

Last week we had a huge dump of snow in one day, about 55 cm in total. This was the view along one of the streets in the Annex neighbourhood of all the cars covered in a thick layer of snow. The side streets were almost impassable so there was no hurry by anyone to get the car cleaned and get out on the road. Most of the houses in this area were built well before cars existed and so parking on the street is all that is available.

  1. I took a similar shot of a buried car the day after the blizzard.

  2. Minha nossa, que imagem linda! Meu sonho é conhecer neve. Moro no Brasil e aqui só há neve do sul do país, e bem pouco.

  3. Wow, those cars are buried in snow. That must have taken some digging to get those cars out.

  5. That is a great deal of snow. I see snow shoveling in your future. These cars look amazing. I couldn't survive winter without my snowblower.

  7. To me this sings of childhood! I've been in Hawaii virtually my entire adult life. So snow like this is associated with memories and snow days!

  9. Oh it reminds me of a storm in North Dakota once back in 1966.

  11. You really have to know which car is yours! Where did I park? Ummmm. We had this 2009 or 10, it was awful (and rather unusual for our region).

  12. Wow, that is a lot of snow. I would not want to dig out one of the cars.
Where do they put the snow? Happy weekend to you!
