This is a view through the gate in the stone wall that surrounds the grounds of Spadina House with a view of part of the house. The grounds were closed that day but I could see the tracks of someone who had been cross-country skiing around the perimeter on another day.
A bit rough gate I would say. The difference between the iron fence and the stone pillars is to great for me.
ReplyDeleteThe pillars have a different design and are a bit tio high.
ReplyDeleteI like this view.
ReplyDeleteI love those hefty pillars that frame the gate.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gate.
ReplyDelete...beautiful, these were popular years ago. There are many here in Rochester.
ReplyDeleteThe pillars are an example of a stone mason's craft that makes for an impressive gate. Well documented.
ReplyDeleteI like the view through the gate.

ReplyDeleteI recognize that view! It's neat how your blog sometimes takes me directly back to 1974-75.
