This wonderful structure is the Helliconian Hall that was described in yesterday's sign post. It is so unusual that it is not brick that it catches the eye immediately. Almost all of the older buildings in the city are red brick like the one to its right. The Helliconian Club is still going strong.
Marvelous architecture.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and unique building. Must have originally been a church. Good to know it is still a strong organization.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house.
ReplyDelete...this seems to be in the Carpenter Gothic Style, neat.
ReplyDeleteIt looks inviting!
ReplyDeleteInteresting building with an interesting history. Odd name for the club...
ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking building and quite a contrast with it's neighbor. I'm glad that is has a new life and is still going strong.
ReplyDeleteShe's old and the ladies are in charge.
ReplyDeleteBrick was abundant in TO because of the local clay deposits in Don Valley.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting!
ReplyDeleteTruly special building with these long stripes.
