The city has a program where the laneways are being given names that are relevant to their neighbourhood and Reggae Lane has been given official status as you can see from the sign. The stoplights there mark the corner of Oakwood & Eglinton Aves and you can see evidence of some of the construction in the area which is ongoing.

A colourful installation on that building.
ReplyDeleteLaneways with names is something new to me.
ReplyDelete...lanes seem like an important part of Toronto's neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteI like that they are naming the laneways. I love that colorful building in the background.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fine name for this lane. The name makes it sound like a fun place to be.
ReplyDeleteAh Canada! Thank you for showing us how it can and should be. The US will come back to sanity.
ReplyDeleteI thought this street name would be in the music district then but I don't believe that is the case here.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of giving them names...are those alleyways then?
ReplyDeleteNice lane name, I like it. The colourful art that is on the building in back is nice and stands out.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting name.
ReplyDeleteMost of our lanes have names now. I noticed one a couple of days ago that had a local council name but at the bottom of the sign, it said "Private Lane". It was really a lane to access a building car park. That might be taking it too far.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot with the red light and the colors behind.
