The Artscape Wychwood Barns are located in barns built for streetcar maintenance in 1913. Now the barns have been taken over by Artscape and turned into a real community hub with artist live/work spaces, galleries. offices for art & environmental groups and a huge event space which is in hall 2 behind all those windows. This space is used for all kinds of events such as weddings, exhibits and in winter the farmers market moves into it.

ReplyDeleteA great space, I am happy to see it has a new purpose.
Take care, have a great day!
That is n elegant looking build to be called a barn, but I understand its history. This is a fine use of the building now that it is no longer needed for streetcars.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building.
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool! I know the community enjoys it
ReplyDeleteA good use of the building.
ReplyDeleteThe barn retains the charm from the era
ReplyDeleteIt's a very attractive building and so well repurposed. I guess there another place to store and service trams now, and they aren't left out in the weather.
