I've been following the conversion of this church on Bloor St into condos for a few years (see HERE) and went by the backside of it to see what was happening there. There is nothing but the facade left and 2 towers with most of the previous interior parts of the facade clad in plastic. It certainly looks like completion is a long way off.
It is said that cranes are signs of progress in a city. I am not sure, but they are signs of prosperity.
ReplyDeleteAgree, Andrew. Thanks Pat for sharing this project with us. Aloha
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it won't be done for a long time. It's interesting how long some projects take while others seem to go up in a flash.
ReplyDeleteWow, there is not much left of this downtown church. Your photo shows the congestion of a major urban renewal project.
ReplyDeleteThat is a sight far too familiar in Melbourne too
ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit messy but very pleasant composition here. I like it.
ReplyDeleteConstruction is the theme for the cities. We have one building here in town that is just beginning to undergo a transformation.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be alot of building upwards in today's world
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of developers.
ReplyDeleteA great mess!
