Quite A Ride

This is a '63 Impala in impecable condition that even has little note in its windows to please not lean against the car since the paint could be easily scratched. It's amazing how large cars were in those days!

  1. Those were the days! We had a '57 Ford Fairlane (4-dr hardtop) and a '55 Chevy Bel Air, and a 1960 Volvo, and a '53 Ford Convertible, and a '67 Olds, etc., etc. I was a car nut! I would love this.

But, today's cars are much easier to drive and they have a lot less problems. They just lack some of the class of the older ones and it was nice to always be able to tell the model and year with one glance.

  2. The Impala was an extremely popular 'ride' in their day. There were in every neighborhood with its long and lean lines.

  11. That big fella is quite a car. I had a '66 Impala along the way. I like the way the driver of this car stationed it against a fine background for your photo. Very considerate.
