Inside A Church
I finally made it to a church that was unlocked during the daylight and got to see the stained glass from inside. This church, St Bernard De Clairvaux, has these tall thin windows lining all the side aisles between the Stations Of The Cross so it makes for a lovely atmosphere.
Beautiful windows. Very colorful.
ReplyDeletethey always look so dreary at night. totally different daylight effect. :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful window!
ReplyDeleteI keep getting bad luck trying to get into a church to photograph the windows. It seems there's always a mass, wedding, or funeral going on.
Looks like the ceiling was dropped after the windows were placed?
ReplyDeleteThats a beauty for a modern stained glass window
ReplyDeleteChurch glass always gave me something too look at during long winding sermons. Still capture my interest.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a nice surprise to find a door open, quite often they aren't through the day. So nice to see the stained glass windows from the inside, what a treat Pat.
ReplyDeleteYou did well capturing all the detail! Very beautiful and warm.
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on Ocala: I thought it was tacky plastic flamingoes that reminded you of Florida! :))
looks interesting
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! We have many churches, but it is not easy to find them open outside mass hours...
ReplyDeleteA healing bath of color!

Thanks for your visit and comment. Stained glass is always special as your photo shows.
ReplyDeleteWell captured!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stations of the Cross!
ReplyDeleteNice and colorful.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that you found an unlocked church! I'm impressed. I wonder how many doorknobs you tried to turn before this one opened. :)
ReplyDeleteI love walking into churches and thankfully ours are mostly open. This is rather nice (but though I realise it's necessary to not freeze to death in a church, I wonder if they couldn't have done something nicer with the heaters!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stained glass.
