City Creatures

Raccoons and pigeons are two of our most common urban creatures, maybe being outnumbered by squirrels. This mural by Colin Turner Bloom (aka ColinMakesArt) was found on a local garage. It has a real urban look about it.

  1. Raccoons were the bane of our existence when we lived in a house. After 8 years in a condo this year we have been plagued with pigeons...on the higher floors of the building. Seems the high rise towers remind them of the high mountains they came from....

  4. Interesting garage mural honoring these urban creatures. I've always liked raccoons for their clever survival skills. Not sure I understand or appreciate the graffiti in the middle of this mural.

  8. We've definitely have a lot of raccoons and pigeons, but not in numbers that even approximate the number of gray squirrels.
