This is one of our present day streetcars, called Flexity Outlook, which first appeared in service in 2014 and now make up the whole fleet. I guess they are called Flexity because they have 5 articulated sections. I remember how excited everyone was when they first started running here.
Very modern one but if I am honest I prefer the older ones in town.
ReplyDelete"Hi Panto!" Very cool car.
ReplyDeleteSide Note: two years ago I was at the InnoTrans in Berlin and saw a used Panto(graph) for real. Before I translated a technical drawing of a Panto and I see them every day for real :-) Nice to see a Canadian "Brother" (in German pantos are male)
In some respects I am reminded of our LRT.
ReplyDelete...sleek.
ReplyDeleteI like the new modern looking streetcars.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend.
Lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the color, these look very much like the ones we have here. Which reminds me, I haven't ridden on one in along time. I used to ride a lot more when I live closer to the lines.
ReplyDeleteSleek and modern!
ReplyDeleteVery smart. We have Flexity trams here too. We rode in one of yours and also on the older style that were still operating. I thought it strange that the new trams had poles rather than pantographs, but I think they have been converted now after the electric overhead wiring was adapted.
ReplyDeleteYou travel in style in Canada!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see.
ReplyDeleteThey are very impressive.
ReplyDeleteIts very modern, we need those here instead of our cruddy rail system.
