In A Blur

This was my first bee sighting of the year and I followed this guy for several minutes as he dive bombed a large pot of chives that were flowering. I couldn't catch him  staying still but still liked this shot of the high energy action so here it is.

It's a great shot. Those busy bees are hard to catch.

they can, at times, be full of energy!! i really like the image and who doesn't LOVE purple flowers!! these are chives?? i had something similar on my scallions (maybe the same thing, chives and scallions) and i chopped them off. i didn't know they would get pretty like this!!

Busy buzzy bee. We have had a pyracantha blooming abundantly in our garden for the last few weeks and it is teeming with bees.

I always enjoy seeing bees at work among the flowers. Good catch, RedPat.

There's something so joyful about that first buzzing blur of spring—this shot captures all the wild energy and determination of a bee on a mission.
