Lovely Laneway Lady
I happened to be wandering up a laneway just a block away from last week's laneway paintings when I discovered another lovely lady painted on a garage door. She too is beautifully done and it is nice to see that no taggers have touched the door. I am going to tour some more lanes in this area to see if there is some kind of theme going on there!
wow! an amazing amount of work in this 'painting'. i am pleased that the garage owner wants to minimize the amount of tagging in his lane way and i hope he is pleased at the addition of art he has added instead, but a part of me feels disappointed that this is the only way to protect against the taggers. what a great find redpat and nicely photographed. thanks, you keep finding some great art and architecture in our city. love your blog.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work!
ReplyDeleteA little hallucinogenic..
Thank you for finding and sharing Red Pat!
Cool stuff!
Yes, this one is very nice. Love the vivid colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks for identifying the church for me. I'm still between Jackson and Toronto. I hope it will be warmer by the time I get there full time.
Fantastic, the colours were very well chosen, the painting is vibrant and sutil at the same time! The shadows are great, very nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Argentina/Buenos Aires and I took some shots of nice garage doors too. ;-)
Amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt is really nice, Redpat. I am still dumbstruck about these artistically painted garage doors. I never saw one before and now it seems that every door in Toronto has been adopted by an artist. What is on your door?
ReplyDeleteThis one is by far my favorite. What an artist.
ReplyDeleteI just reviewed your laneway art posts. Wow! I'd have never thought such great art could be found painted on garage doors. Thanks for these posts.
ReplyDeleteFabulous art
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what a photographer will find when they get off the beaten path. In your case it's a beaut!
ReplyDeleteWow...these back lane garage doors are beautiful....all ours in the Runnymede and Annette and High Park area are covered in grafitti. ...and some are not as pretty. Also in Parkdale one of our homes garage got all coloured up from this summer.
ReplyDeleteJack - My garage door is plain, industrial-looking, galvanized metal - no tagging, no art.
ReplyDeleteThis is very well done!
