Mini Blizzard
I left here yesterday in the sunshine to catch some snow shots since we haven't really had any snow and all of a sudden the skies opened and there was a blizzard for about 10 minutes and then the sun came out again! The falling snow created a great atmosphere for this house in Seaton Village (just west of the Annex) which I have always liked partly because of the whale weathervane on top of their turret. And their discarded Christmas tree still waits for the city to pick it up for mulching!

Great shot Red Pat, perfectly framed!
Snowy shots are always cool for me!
I like the whale weathervane too! ;-)
You got the snow shots you wanted! And I think this house is most interesting! It's quite narrow but I'd guess extends back a ways; the porch covers the entire front of the house as do the steps. I think that's a driveway on the left, probably leading to an old 1-car garage. The turret is delightful and a great place to laze about with coffee and a good book.
Cool post!
A mini blizzard and a mini house front - sweet.
Christmas trees in Edinburgh seem to be slow to be picked up this year too.
I feel like I'm back in Dickensian times.
Oh, I want that house. Snow and all, I don't care. Great photo!

Oh boy, it does look like it's really coming down. What a great house to be warm in while it snows.
Cool!
Have a fun weekend :)
This house in the snow is so cute.
That is a cute house. We had way too much blowing snow for my liking.
Hee! There is an old tree that's been blowing around my neighborhood. I keep seeing it in different places every few days or so.
Although I don't like snow, I have to admit it has been pretty. :)
Wonderful shot, harks back to gentler times...
Enjoy your weekend, Pat.
What a charming little home. It looks lovely dressed in snow.
It is a charmer isn't it, snow and all. We had a whack of rain here today, so the little snow we had is gone - which is great!
I love that turret - it makes a plain house so much more special.
Nice. Simple. Intriguing.
A 'ten minute blizzard' how amazing!! How weird is the weather behaving these days! Oh well done Red to spot the whale weathervane, love the quirkiness of it.
What an absolutely story book photo. Really a great capture,
An image with lots of winter feelings.... Cold, but hopefully nice and warm inside!:)
