Sunny Winter Day At High Park
It is a beautiful sunny day here with a temperature of +3˚C and no wind so I went off to High Park which is the largest park in the city. There were thousands of people there - walking dogs, skating, playing tennis, hiking the trails, and just sitting in the sun. It was also a good day to pull out the vintage car and here we have a 1955 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer hardtop parked in front of one of the skating rinks in the park!

How come they don't paint cars turquoise any more? :-)
Awesome Red Pat!
That is a great catch! And I'm old enough to remember cars like that parked at a skating rink.
What a find. We had a 1955 Plymouth station wagon in 1961. And a bit later a Dodge Charger but I can't remember the year. These cars were sturdy for sure...although the rattled quite a bit...we used to say like a "bucket of bolts."
I love the vintage design, there are many old cars in Lima, but unfortunately I haven't seen one with a beautiful colour like the Dodge. ;-)
That is a very classy looking car, fab colour too.
Great capture, LOVE Wayne's comment - he's right why don't they?
A fine ride. Glad to hear about your weather. We had -22C last night.
Gotta love classic Detroit 'wheels!'
Good shot, Pat! That is such a retro image, like a peek into a past-scope...
I rarely see vintage cars up here in EG in winter. I think the owners are afraid of what the salt on the roads might do.
For a second I thought I was in Havana! Nice shot Red Pat!
Classic car, gorgeous colour..Great find Red.
If that lancer was in black you would swear it belonged to a mobster. Fantastic images. when it hits +3˚C, the country grinds to a halt... strange isnt it... Excellent photo by the way !!
cool car! Nice to see everyone enjoying the day out. =)
Old car buff «Louis» was delighted to see that '55 Dodge in its oh-so-'50s turquoise!
Great photo Pat. A little slice of daily life in Toronto with a retro touch for good measure!
Seeing a motor-car like this... Just makes one feel good all over.
