Palmerston Blvd Coach House
I was wandering down a laneway in Little Italy just off College St this morning and discovered this old coach house & stable that actually had a sign with its history. It was built behind houses on Palmerston Blvd in 1908 by Crozier & Cloutier and was totally restored in 1996-1998. This type of building is treasured and much sought after here - if only we could see inside!

Fascinating for sure. It's hard to tell how big it is from this angle but it looks rather small. I'd love to see the inside, too.
Thanks for coming by the new site and for your very nice comments!
It's great that someone thought enough of it to resore it! I certainly like that upper window.
It could almost be a little chapel with that window.
Isn't it cool when we find something unexpected? :-)
I love the window! Great capture, Pat.

Cool little building!
Very cool! I wish we could see inside too. :)
Wooden shingles, Dutch style roof and an arched window, quite charming. Keep working on getting inside!
Love it - that back window is just fabulous. Would love a small place like that to live, so much character.
Oh I am with you on this, I would love to see inside. Nice find.
I love weathered shingles on buildings. In fact, my house has weathered shingles on it.
romantic
Looks like a little barn.
Interesting that it has what appears to be a window re-used from a church... I've never seen a window like that in any other building but a church...
It is a very unique shape, I wonder if it's two levels inside or just floor to roof.
This is just too intriguing Red, is someone living in it as a home? It looks quite charming, I agree with all above, the window is lovely.
yes there is major flooding over the other side of Australia in NSW Red, so much rain over there and not a drop here, go figure!!
It is wonderful that places like this are loved and cared for.
Beautifully weathered. Love it!
It does look lovely. I especially like that gothic window!
This looks a lovely treasure indeed! I love the cozy feel of the building.
Coach houses are very desirable - and now possibly bigger than some condos!
