Parkdale Bike Stand 14

This tree bike stand is found beside yesterday's butterfly and since it is Earth Day I thought it was suitable to show a tree and a place for locking your eco-firendly bike at the same time. I like that this one has been done in steel and allowed to develop a warm rust patina! The artist  is Alice Rogers.

    PS: I hate the new blogger set up too. Nothing is where I think it's going to be. And I actually think the lack of color makes it harder to differentiate the functions. Ah well... guess we can get used to anything in time.

    haha. I don't like the new set-up either. They must be trying to emulate the google page. I agree w/ Halcyon, it's completely without character.

    Perfect Earth day post. I agree love the concept of getting a nice rust patina on it.

    I am right there with you on the blogger set-up. I keep thinking the people that design it don't use it. It just isn't as easy to navigate - Hate it hate it hate it!

    Lovely bike rack. These function by themselves as works of art.

    Did you see the "Frozen Planet" finale last night...very disturbing images of the melting of the ice sheets at the poles?
