Magic

My camera was in for repairs in the east end of downtown (not my normal side of the city) and when I came out of the shop, I spotted this wonderful mural down a side street. I could see no signature but I am sure it is by the artist Elicser and could find no info on when it was done either. The building is called The Magic Building and he has certainly chosen great images for it although I have no idea why that is the name.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here for more murals.

This is a very magical mural!

About your comment on my site today, when I was working in Chicago back in the late 90's, I made my way to Oak Park several times to walk up and down the street where there are several FLW homes and I even went to a Sunday service at the Unitarian Church in Oak Park that was built by FLW. It was interesting listening to the guide on the Taliesin tour say that many people who purchased FLW homes didn't like them after they were built because FLW homes had low ceilings and open floor plans. He said people were used to the European style of high ceilings and closed off rooms.

I went to Toronto once I regret that I didn't look around more. I spent all my time in Ottawa. I thought that was the prettiest city ever.

It makes for a fun corner.

Super creative, although kind of dark - I guess magic is part of the "dark arts." Great find, Pat!

Yes, indeed, this one is a pretty interesting one.

I head north in two weeks. My cupboard is getting pretty bare and needs to be replenished.

Nice surprise for you. Proves that traveling off your usual path can provide rewards. Thee guys look like cousins to my last week's fierce gnome. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

Magic indeed, very unusual and very eye catching!

What an appropriate mural for that building, considering it's name ... interesting how the artist opted to just paint the corner ... makes it rather unique.
