A Good Crop
The use of herbicides has been banned for several years here so nearly the only way to get rid of weeds is to pull them out which does not happen in the parks and in the public spaces along roadways. As a result you get large crops of Dandelions popping up such as along this boulevard beside the stone wall of Casa Loma.

I like dandelions. Now the parks and boulevards look like they did when I was a kid.
Fascinating about herbicides. Some peoples weeds are other peoples flowers, in this case, I think they are lovely
A very colourful looking carpet of dandelions!

they make me smile. :)
Ah... a question to ponder. Is a dandelion a weed or a flower. I do think this is quite pretty; all those yellow flowers along the road.
I like them. We have large fields here coloring yellow from dandelions, very cheerful.
We have the same around here, must have had a few windy days when the seeds were ready last year!
I don't care what anyone says. When dandelions are in bloom they spread out a beautiful carpet of yellow. After that they are just another weed to me.
I've always liked dandelions. Good shot, Pat.
I happen to be on the side flower. Nice springy shot.
I am the dissenter. Weeds! Does that surprise you?
Well yes they are weeds, but sooooo pretty. How wonderfully spring like this image is Pat! I'm for them :)
Here they send a man round on a lawnmower to cut em all down - nice while they last though.
A weed is in the eye of the beholder, methinks. I've seen some weeds that were quite beautiful - like these dandelions! Nicely composed shot!
such a pretty patch!!

You have to admit, when seen from afar these "fields" are sort of pretty. :)
I'm happy Ontario has decided we need bees for pollinating our veggies more than we need perfect lawns. :))
Weeds look great in Spring, don't they?
